STORY

I once saw a good friend studying frantically over a scratch sheet of paper while 32 guys hovered close by.  You see, we had set up a friendly betting window for an annual golf tournament.  You could bet any team to win, place, or show.  He was figuring out the results of  pari-mutuel betting (PMB) in his head.  That's a chore and it took a bit of time to figure it all out.  It only took one time for me trying to figure it out with a stubby pencil for me to realize that PMB is just math and logic.  Things at which computers are particularly good.  That's when I designed the PMB worksheet.

Oh, but there's more.  I've used spreadsheets to manage a 9-hole, 2-man-team golf league, an 18-hole, 4-man-team Nassau league that tracked Stableford points, and several types of golf tournament spreadsheets with enormous flexibility.  I'm currently developing tournament brackets of differing types.  The point is I just like doing this stuff and I develop what I need and use.  I hope that you find as much value in the stuff as I do.

Over a decade of planning experience both strategic and urban has inspired ideas for automation.  I've got plenty of ideas but I'm always looking for more.  How can I make your life easier?
